The series is reported to be Ted Lasso of Apple TV+ is preparing for another season.
Deadline reported that production studio Warner Bros. Television has reached out to cast members Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Variety adds in its own report that Jason Sudeikis will likely serve as executive producer.
Deadline goes on to state that the studio is expected to reach out to cast members Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Juno Templeall of whom require SAG-AFTRA contacts, unlike Waddingham, Goldstein and Swift, who are contracted to the U.K. actors union Equity, for new option deals.
Both reports indicate that it is still too early for the fourth season to be officially greenlit. With its 2023 finale set to wrap up most of the story’s loose ends, It’s unclear where a new season will goHowever, in January, Warner Bros. TV CEO Channing Dungey had teased a possible fourth season.
“I mean, you saw the end, there’s a little door that could be kicked open if necessary,” Dungey said.
“I wouldn’t put the period at the end of that sentence just yet. There’s still a lot of love for Ted Lasso. And I think there’s still a lot of enthusiasm on Apple’s part for Ted Lasso.. If the opportunity arises, we would be excited to start doing more again… There are always conversations going on, but nothing is official.”

A 2023 survey showed that Ted Lasso was the third most-watched original streaming show of that year, only behind The Mandalorian and Loki.
Earlier this month, Ted Lasso co-creator, Bill Lawrence (Scrubs), expressed interest in a new season to Collider , but cautioned that its fate would ultimately be decided by Sudeikis.
“We all loved the experience,” Lawrence said. “As fans, we would all kill to see it happen again, but we would all say the same thing: Whatever Jason wants to do and whatever he decides, we will all support it.”
