19 students and three teachers from the tourism schools in Bad Leonfelden found an unusual workplace in the State Opera. In the Gustav Mahler Hall, near the Federal President’s box, the Baletour team was responsible for looking after 300 ball guests. Well prepared and under the motto “dress code frack” the prominent guests were looked after absolutely professionally.

14 hours in use

The teachers were full of praise: “It is not a matter of course that students use their free time to prepare for a work assignment and, despite the length of the working day, which began at 4 p.m. and ended at 6 a.m., with full commitment and great joy are.” And the students agreed: “It was a great and instructive experience. We were able to show what technical skills we had learned during our training and that we can deal professionally with challenging situations.” Numerous prominent guests were also willing to take a photo with the Baletour team: Among others, Education Minister Martin Polaschek, Economics Minister Markus Achleitner, TV presenter Silvia Schneider and news anchor Nadja Bernhard and her colleague Tarek Leitner smiled at the camera with the team.
