Whenever something takes place in the open air and/or on the water, the weather is particularly important. This is also part of the organizational team for the events taking place on June 2nd and 3rd “bubble days” no different in Linz.
The statement by Jörg Neumayr in the OÖN interview, which was accompanied by an anxious undertone in the previous week, according to which “now only the weather would have to be right”, has now given way to confidence that it will remain beautiful and summery. This is doubly important for the two-day festival in the Linz harbor area. Then: “We are a family festival during the day with lots of sporting activities by and on the water and a music festival in the evening”, says Neumayr, who, after ten successful years, is entering the second decade of the popular festival with his team from the Linz creative worker and artist collective LIKIDO. Between 25,000 and 30,000 visitors are expected again at the event for young and old.
For this purpose, the area of the Linz harbor is currently being spruced up, for this year’s premiere a separate water arena is being built, which should allow visitors to see the (sporting) events on the water up close and in a comfortable environment (with a bar and deck chairs). enjoy. From the “Porr Ship”, the repurposed cargo ship, you also have the best view of the air cushion bloppers, according to Neumayr, where the pros will perform the highest jumps on Saturday. What was already successfully started in the previous year, namely bringing more visitors to the rear area of the area, will be continued this year. A separate swimming area, sun loungers, lifeguard and cool drinks await in the Splash & Chill area. Here you can at the “bubble days” relax during the day.
There is one according to the family event “Kids Area”, plus free harbor tours, helicopter tours, a pump track and more. In the evening hours, the “bubble days” to the music festival, where, among others, Camo & Krooked and Greeen will be performing live. A morning pint will tempt you on Saturday afternoon “tin salad”.
The “bubble days” are open on June 2nd from 2 p.m. and on June 3rd from 12 p.m. Admission is free.
