As planned, Gerald Mayrhofer takes over the presidency of the Lions Club Rohrbach-Boehmerwald from Roland Öhler at the end of June. Before that, on June 17, Mayrhofer takes on a mammoth task by running at the Mozart100 and making all the sponsorship proceeds available to his Lions Club.
Personal goal
“The run is my long-planned personal goal to test the limits of my mental and physical condition. I have an experienced and competent team at my side. With the sponsorship income I support people in the district who don’t have it easy in life,” points out Mayrhofer on the social aspect of his running project. “As the incoming Lions club president, I know exactly where help is needed.”
Run over 107 kilometers
The Mozart100 is a run of superlatives that demands everything from the participants. Gerald Mayrhofer runs the king’s distance of 107 kilometers with the Mozart Ultra.
It starts at 5 a.m. at Kapitelplatz in Salzburg, then continues via Fuschl am See “ritardando” to the Wolfgangsee region, “fortissimo” via Zwölferhorn and Schafberg and with a change of pace and a “Finale forte” via Nockstein and Kapuzinerberg back to Salzburg . “The finish line is no later than 22 hours at Salzburg’s Kapitelplatz,” explains the prospective president.
Gerald Mayrhofer is supported in his social running project by the Raiffeisenbank Region Rohrbach, the Hotel Almesberger and Keramo.
