Demonstrators blocked the A12 motorway in the center of The Hague on Saturday to protest against fossil fuel subsidies. The police intervened after 45 minutes and later announced around a thousand arrests for violations of the right to assembly.
According to media reports, she wants to forego criminal investigations. It was the ninth blockade action in The Hague since July 2022.
