family champions

Almost 5 months ago we lived an enormous joy as a country. Winning the third cup in the soccer World Cup was a moment that entire generations will remember, those of us who lived through it -a few filling a stadium- many more following that consecration from a distance, but very close, vibrating and suffering, with a group of players It will go down in history for many reasons. It was, without a doubt, the greatest sporting achievement of their careers.

On a date like today, when International Family Day is celebrated, decreed by the United Nations, my memory goes to those footballers who, after having left everything on the field, sought out their families to add them to that well deserved celebration Undoubtedly, if they got there, it was thanks to the support and accompaniment of their loved ones and they recognized this in countless interviews that made us emotional.

In addition to teaching us what teamwork means, the sense of friendship, resilience to face difficulties and a long etcetera, this group undoubtedly left us an example of what family means in their lives as a pillar, support and containment. I want to remember them today precisely because what was so evident that day (players who stopped being one to become parents, celebrating with their children, hugging their partners, crying with their own parents and siblings) is a clear demonstration of the value of family in our lives. And that is precisely what we celebrate today.

Our great Lionel Messi has it very clear when he affirms: “Always, both in good times and in bad times, the family is the one that accompanies, the one that enjoys and the one that suffers just like me or more. I share everything beautiful and good with them.”

Let’s not wait for great deeds or special events to thank our loved ones for all the support they give us. Every day we are presented with the opportunity to enjoy life with the people we love the most. This is how Leonel Scaloni explains it: “Watching my children grow is the best, being with them and not losing what everyone as a father wants to see: the childhood of his children.”

Spending time with them, forging family traditions, sharing moments of fun, accompanying us in situations of illness or pain, supporting work responsibilities or school tasks, taking care of housework, are opportunities to grow together, strengthen ties and win day by day. happiness day.

Loved ones are the most important part of life. With them we grow, develop and strengthen ourselves as people. The family will always be the impetus to give the best of ourselves. They are our biggest fans and drivers of our development. Just as those players are world champions forever, they and each one of us can also aim to win the championship of happiness with the best team: our own family.
