Was the 0:2 at Meister Salzburg Christian Heinle’s last game as coach of SV Guntamatic Ried? Ironically, a club car from another club is currently causing the coach rumor mill to seethe with the Innviertler: Yesterday, Tuesday, a car from the German third division club TSV 1860 Munich was sighted in front of the Rieder Josko Arena. Exactly the model that suits his ex-coach Michael Köllner.
OÖN research has revealed that Christian Heinle has long since been informed of his departure as a Ried coach. Only one point from the first three spring rounds was not enough for the Innviertel team. The record of the 37-year-old is not great with only three wins this season and the current last place in the table – nevertheless the time of the separation after three games in spring and after a defeat at Austria’s league dominator comes as a surprise.
Heinle took over the office of Rieder head coach in November 2021, initially on an interim basis from Andreas Heraf and then led the Vikings to stay up in the league and to the cup final.
Koellner as his successor
His successor should also already be determined. Michael Köllner is likely to take over Heinle’s legacy. The 53-year-old German coached third division club TSV 1860 Munich (from 2019) and was released at the end of January. He has also gained experience in the top German professional leagues: at Nürnberg he was on the sideline in both the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga.
