Bafa joins Galleries Circuit Node

In the world of culture and art, collaboration and joint work are essential for the development and promotion of the various artistic manifestations. That is why BAFA –new district of Recoleta- joins NODO Circuito de Galerías, an art and city experience organized by Meridiano -the Argentine Chamber of Contemporary Art Galleries.

NODE Meridiano Galleries Circuit will be carried out May 4, 5 and 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in three circuits of the city –among them, the area of Recoleta where BAFA is located (delimited by the quadrilateral that forms between Cerrito and Posadas, including La Recova; and the end of Pueyrredón and Libertador, including the National Museum of Fine Arts and Alvear Av. and Quintana Street).

The proposal of this event is to offer an exhibition schedule in more than 50 art galleries, with a wide range of activities such as openings, performances, talks and guided tours. This initiative not only promotes culture and art in the city, but also seeks to revalue the role of the gallery as a culture educator and fundamental agent in the circuit that promotes Argentine art in the country and in the world.

NODE Galleries Circuit is an interesting cultural event of great magnitude, which promotes galleries and artists. During the three days of the event, 12 selected BAFA District venues will add works of art to their shop windows, as a complement. This alliance where each local invites an art gallery – artist to exhibit in their spaces.

Meridiano brings together art galleries from all over the country. The galleries that are located outside the City of Buenos Aires will also be part of a collective exhibition at the AMALITA Collection, located in Puerto Madero.

BAFA seeks to promote with these and other activities the visibility of the offer of art, fashion, hotels, gastronomy and jewelry that exists in the Recoleta area, generating a unique experience for all Argentine and foreign visitors who visit the city. By being part of NODO Circuito de Galerías, the designers, firms and proposals that have their boutiques and stores within the framework of BAFA, generate with this activity, a unique synergy between both sectors (design and art).

These are the collaboration pairs between members of BAFA (local, designer, firm) and the Meridiano art gallery so that those who visit the stores can also enjoy an artistic intervention:

1) Rossi & Caruso/Sasha Davila (Córdoba)

2) Santesteban/Gabelich Contemporary (Rosario, Santa Fe)

“Tourists look for design, the Argentine forte is the added value from an aesthetic point of view, and they want to find quality designs at prices lower than those in force in the USA or Europe. Given the current Argentine competitiveness, we are in a position to offer high quality and design products at very competitive prices”, comments Sebastián Calfún – President of BAFA -.

“For us, continuing to promote Argentine art is a pleasure and more, together with our members and colleagues from neighboring fashion, jewelry, hotels and restaurants who contribute all their innovation and talent in their area, offering visitors a great 360 experience. ”, complements María Guedes Caruso – from Rossi Caruso leather goods and Vice President of BAFA-.
