Roskomnadzor restricted access to one of the Readovka materials published in the Telegram channel. This was reported to Izvestia in the department on Sunday, February 20.
As noted in Roskomnadzor, Readovka distributes false information regarding the notification that was sent by the department to the provider and owner of the Telegram information resource.
“The Readovka edition quotes only a part of the notification sent by Roskomnadzor, thereby misinforming readers,” the report says.
An administrative investigation will be conducted into the incident.
The decision to restrict access to the Telegram messenger was not made, the department stressed. They also recalled the responsibility for the dissemination of unreliable socially significant information.
Earlier, on November 25, Roskomnadzor brought the social network VKontakte to administrative responsibility for not deleting prohibited information. The press service of VKontakte, for its part, stated that the company is constantly fighting fakes.
