China launched L-SAR 01B Earth observation satellite into orbit. It will be used to monitor seismic activity, landslides and the geological environment. This was reported on Sunday, February 27, by Xinhua News Agency.
According to him, the launch took place at 07:44 local time (02:44 Moscow time) using a Long March-4C launch vehicle (CZ-4C, Changzheng-4-Xi) from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in the northwestern province of Gansu .
This launch was the 408th in a row for this series of launch vehicles.
As previously reported by the agency, the launch of the L-SAR 01A satellite took place on January 26. It is used for geological projects, seismic monitoring, disaster prevention, and forestry.
Earlier, on February 26, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that Russia and China had signed a number of documents on lunar exploration. He added that negotiations are also underway with Turkey, Brazil and other countries, as well as with the European Space Agency.
