WhatsApp comes with new features with disappearing messages

WhatsApp messenger will have new features with disappearing messages. On December 6, one of the founders of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced this on his Facebook page.

It is clarified that in the next update of WhatsApp there will be new timers for the self-destruction of messages. Thanks to this option, users will be able, after a period of time of their choice, to remove any text from their correspondence with someone automatically, the Verge website notes.

The publication specifies that two time frames for auto-deleting messages will be added – after 24 hours and after 90 days. Previously, it was possible to set the automatic deletion of a message only a week after sending. As a result, the user will now have three time options – 24 hours, 7 or 90 days.

According to the publication, now one user will not be able to delete all correspondence without the consent of the chat participants – with such an attempt, they will receive a message warning that after a certain period of time the messages will be deleted.

This notification will show how long the texts can be read before they disappear forever.

Despite the fact that the new feature of the phone application was announced on December 6, it can take up to several days to wait for its release.

On November 24, it was reported that WhatsApp would change its voice messaging capabilities. In particular, it will be possible to speed up the playback of audio.
