British scientists have found signs of psychopathy in domestic cats

Most domestic cats show signs of psychopathy. This is the conclusion reached by British scientists from the University of Liverpool John Moores. The research results are published on the ScienceDirect portal.

To assess the predisposition of pets to psychopathy, experts have developed a special survey in which 549 cat owners took part.

Participants were asked to answer 46 questions that represent statements about the behavior of pets. For example, the questionnaire included questions about loud meows and running around the house for no apparent reason.

Experts are convinced that signs such as lack of remorse, unfriendly attitude towards people and other animals, courage, as well as excessive motor and speech activity can be signs of psychopathy in cats.

On November 30, the President of the Russian Cynological Federation, Vladimir Golubev, told Izvestia that dogs have no idea of morality and they do not feel guilty. He cited the results of the study, according to which dogs do not have abstract thinking, so you should not try to discover in them the presence of such concepts as conscience, morality, good and evil.
