In the work of the system of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia on Saturday, December 18, there were isolated malfunctions associated with a technical failure. This is reported by the portal “Ministry of Internal Affairs Media”.

“Today, in connection with a technical failure in the work of the information resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, there were malfunctions in the functioning of the federal information system of the State Traffic Inspectorate,” the publication says.

As a result of the failure, the regional divisions of the State Traffic Inspectorate were forced to suspend the provision of state services for the registration of motor vehicles and the issuance of driver’s licenses. Also, access to information on fines for traffic violations (SDA) was limited.

“Currently, the technical specialists of the department are making every effort to eliminate the consequences of a technical failure. Such cases are isolated. If they are detected, the specialists of the department immediately eliminate them, taking the necessary response measures. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia apologizes for the inconveniences brought to citizens, ”the department added.

Earlier that day, information appeared in the media about a large-scale failure in the federal information system of the traffic police. It was clarified that due to a failure, the system of registration and examination divisions did not work.

On November 22, it was reported about malfunctions in the system for checking fines for violations on the website of the traffic police of Russia. An error appeared when trying to check for unpaid fines.

On November 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the introduction of an application for fines for traffic violations. According to the order of the leader, the country will be able to fine for violations of traffic rules based on photos and videos that are received through a special mobile application.
