The Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft landed in Kazakhstan

The descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his business assistant Yozo Hirano on board landed on Monday, December 20, in the steppe of Kazakhstan. This was reported on the Roscosmos website.

“All operations on descent from orbit and landing took place in the normal mode, the crew is feeling well,” the message says.

It is planned that all three flight participants will arrive at Star City on Monday evening to undergo rehabilitation and participate in post-flight scientific experiments. The rehabilitation of the crew will last from 14 to 21 days, depending on the well-being of the cosmonaut and the participants in the space flight.

The Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft with space tourists was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome and docked to the ISS on December 8. The flight participants spent 12 days on the ISS.

At the cosmodrome, upon leaving the Cosmonaut Hotel, the ship’s crew was escorted to the song “Grass by the House” in Japanese. This song was recorded by the Deai duet – Japanese singer Natsuka Sugawara and Russian musician Vitaly Suntsev.

Maezawa is one of the richest people in Japan. He first rose to prominence as the founder of the online clothing store Zozotown. In addition, he is an art collector and founded the Contemporary Art Foundation.

Yozo Hirano joined ZOZO after graduating from university as a casting director for a photography group. He currently works as a producer for SPACETODAY. On the ISS, he was responsible for lighting Yusaku Maezawa’s flight.
