The social network VKontakte has eliminated temporary interruptions in work that arose earlier on Wednesday, December 22, among Russian users of the service.
“All services and products of VKontakte are working. For some users, messages could load more slowly for several minutes – this was a short-term effect, which we immediately corrected, ”the press service of the company said.
Earlier that day, the Downdetector portal, which tracks the work of popular Internet resources, reported complaints about the work of the social network. The peak was at 00:17 Moscow time, when 13 thousand reports of service outages were registered.
Based on the portal’s data, the majority of users (60%) complained about website crashes, 22% about application failures, and 18% about server connection problems. The most actively reported problems in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod.
Prior to this, on December 16, users from the United States and Europe faced disruptions in the work of the social network Instagram. The largest number of complaints came from the United States, Great Britain and Germany. Trouble reports also came from Spain and Italy.
Disruptions in the work of social networks and messengers are often reported. So, on November 12, users from European countries complained about Google, Gmail and YouTube, on October 28, residents of the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain and Poland reported problems with YouTube. On October 27, a failure was reported on Telegram, on October 14 and 19 – on Instagram.
