The public services portal works as usual, user data is reliably protected. This was reported on Monday, December 27, in the press service of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Russian Federation, commenting on information about a possible leak of personal data.
Earlier that day, it became known about a leak of the portal source code. An appropriate notification was sent to “Gosuslugi”.
The Ministry of Digital Development clarified that at the moment the monitoring carried out revealed shortcomings in the work of one of the regional portals, which does not have access to the data of the federal portal and the intersection of source codes with it.
In addition, a number of other regional and federal systems were tested. During the check, no intersections of the source codes with federal “Gosuslugi” were found.
“The audit of the entire e-government infrastructure also did not reveal threats of unauthorized access to the source codes. Additional monitoring of possible attacks on the infrastructure of the regional portal has been organized, ”the department said in a statement, which is at the disposal of Izvestia.
Earlier, on December 16, Maksut Shadayev, the head of the RF Ministry of Digital Development, announced plans to introduce a second authorization factor on the public services portal. According to him, this measure will reduce the risks of account theft by cybercriminals.
Igor Bederov, head of the department of information and analytical research at T. Hunter, added that the issue of installing a two-factor identification system by default for each user is relevant and in demand. He also recommended not to save the password from the portal of public services in the browser, but to use an external application for this – a password manager.
