Scientists from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences studied the relationship between coffee consumption and the risk of developing endometrial cancer (uterine cancer). A study has shown that its consumption can reduce the risk of developing this disease. The data was published in the journal Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research.
According to the posted information, scientists studied 24 works on the use of this drink. Data from more than 699,000 women were considered. Of these, endometrial cancer appeared in 9833 people.
There were slight differences in coffee consumption between groups (smoking, body mass index, hormone therapy were considered). But, judging by the overall statistics, those women who drank the most coffee suffered from endometrial cancer 29% less often than those who drank it less or did not drink at all. At the same time, the method of preparing coffee (filtered or boiled) did not play a special role.
Experts note the need for consultations with doctors to detect cancer.
On January 1, scientists from the United States said that the consumption of sugary drinks can increase the risk of developing bowel cancer. Experts have studied the eating habits of 95,000 people for almost 24 years. It was found that the abuse of drinks containing a large amount of sugar doubles the likelihood of developing bowel cancer.
On November 4 last year, scientists at the University of Nottingham in the UK, the University of Ningbo in China and the Shanxi Agricultural University discovered a parasite that could help fight cancer.
And on October 8, scientists from St. Petersburg State University reported on the production of particles that secrete cancerous tumors in the human body at each stage of its development. The development of the LightUP team is three times cheaper than existing analogues, and the accuracy of determining the disease is five times higher compared to the old methods.
